Sharing people’s stories of light: Joy, Perseverance, Purpose, & Love through portraits

This world can seem pretty dark at times. You don’t have to go far to see bad news, negativity or tragedy. If you’re not careful,
you can easily get pulled into that darkness.
Funny thing about photography:
Light is everything.
You can not make a photo without light. All cameras need light in order to create a photo. When a photographer walks into any setting, he or she seeks the light. Everything we do depends on finding light.
Over the years in my photography career, I have come across some pretty incredible stories. Stories that brighten my day, warm my heart, and give me hope in humanity.
Stories full of light.
I can’t eliminate all the darkness in the world, but I sure can do my part to find the light. My hope with this new initiative is to
share that light with you.
Every month I will be photographing one Light Story Portrait. The portraits will be taken of people who have been nominated (or nominate themself) to receive a session to artistically share their story of joy, perseverance, purpose and/or love.
Each participant will receive:
· A concept development consultation
· Hair and Makeup services if
desired
· A creative luxury portrait
session experience lasting up to one hour
· A feature on my website and
social media platforms telling their story
· A fine art print of one image
(11x14 or comparable)
· Digital files printable to 8x10
(1-3 depending on concept)
My hope is that end the end of each year, we will celebrate with a gathering at which the fine art portraits are displayed and the Light Stories are shared yet again.
