Creative and fine art portraits have become the wind in my creative sails. The process of forging an image from genesis to completion is both therapeutic and enlightening. I find that as you learn new techiques, your vision and creative voice become more clear. My hope is to help you find your creative voice.
These mentoring sessions and workshops are intermediate level, and require a basic knowledge of manual camera operations, lighting, Lightroom and Photoshop. If you do not have this knowledge, please consider one of my basic skills mentoring sessions prior to reserving one of these.

We start with a portfolio review allowing me to pinpoint the instruction that would be most beneficial to you.
We will edit one image together from start to finish, and I will share all the steps I take to achieve a variety of fine art results. I will also provide tips on efficiency and organization for a smooth process.

Lighting plays a huge role in creative images. We will examine the variety of light modifiers and setups that lay the foundation for your work. I include lighting diagrams and examples of results. In-person mentoring will include hands-on practice.
We will edit one image together from start to finish, and I will share all the steps I take to achieve a variety of fine art & painterly results. I will also provide tips on efficiency and organization for a smooth process.
1 on 1: $800;

Fine art image creation begins way before you pick up a camera. We will discuss how to formulate your concept, and also ways to source the materials required to see your concept come to life.
Lighting plays a huge role in creative images. We will examine the variety of light modifiers and setups that lay the foundation for your work. I will include lighting diagrams and examples of results.
We will also spend hands-on studio time photographing two different set-ups.
We will then head back to the editing desk and watch the magic unfold. We will cull our images and discuss what goes into the decision process. We will then edit two images together from start to finish, and I will share all the steps I take to achieve a variety of fine art & painterly results. I will also provide tips on efficiency and organization for a smooth process.
