My mother passed away in November of 2018. She left behind a home that was filled with personal effects and possessions, and a trust for her children and grandchildren. Certainly these things held value. But do you know what was more valuable than any other item in her estate? 

PHOTOGRAPHS. 

Physical photographs. Ones that I could trace my mom’s beautiful face with my finger. Photos from when she was a young girl in braids, through her college years and beyond, seeing her sparkling eyes and her beautiful smile filled me with a joy that no possession ever could. This type of legacy is worth more than any inheritance.
